Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Awards Nearly $1.8 Million in 2022  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) today announced the awarding of nearly $1.8 million in Healthy Kids, Healthy Families grants to 40 community-based organizations statewide with a focus on health and wellness and targeting socio-economic and social determinants of health impacts associated with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 HKHF grantees were selected following an extensive evaluation process. While the primary focus of the HKHF program remains predicated on four key pillars: disease prevention and management, nutrition, physical activity, and safe environments,  the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic reinforces BCBSTX’s focus on health equity and its core purpose to stand with its members and the communities in sickness and health.   CVS Health to invest $11.6 million in affordable housing in Austin CVS Health® (NYSE: CVS) announced it will invest $11.6 million with Boston Financial Investment Management to provide 171 units of much-needed permanent supportive housing in Austin, Texas. This investment is part of CVS Health’s commitment to address racial inequity and social determinants of health in underserved communities. Homelessness is a critical and urgent problem in Austin. The development of Espero Austin at Rutland will help to address this by providing housing to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, persons with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities, and youth aging out of foster care. Americans Are Prepared To Choose Plan During Open Enrollment

  A Record Number of Americans Surveyed Say They Are Prepared to Select a Health Plan During Open Enrollment Most Americans said they are prepared to select a health plan during this year’s open enrollment season, while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spur interest in virtual care for medical services and digital fitness apps to help people pursue at-home fitness routines.  These are some of the findings from the sixth-annual UnitedHealthcare Consumer Sentiment Survey, which examines Americans’ opinions about various areas of health care, including open enrollment, technology trends, wellness programs and health plan preferences.    Key findings include:   Majority of Americans surveyed said they are prepared to select a health plan during the fall’s open enrollment period.  COVID-19 has influenced the health plan some people intend to choose.  Many Americans are interested in using virtual resources for medical services, as well as turning to technology to comparison shop for care.

    Congratulations To Our Agents On A Successful AEP!     Thank you for working with us to reach our goal.  We closed out this AEP with these incredible numbers:   Page Views: We saw a record 39.4 million page views this AEP – an 18.9% increase over last AEP’s page views!      Unique Users/Members: There were 7.33 million unique users/members utilizing the ConnectureDRX sites this AEP.   Enrollment Submissions: Along with the significant increase in overall page views, there was a nearly 30% increase over last year’s total enrollments submitted through the ConnectureDRX platform during AEP.      Text/Email to Sign Enrollment:   By the end of AEP, we saw an increase of 66% for enrollments sent to beneficiaries to sign and submit.  54.1% were sent via email, 14.9% sent via text and 31% sent via both email and text.   Text/Email SOA: Usage increased by 52.8% this AEP, with 61.7% sent via email and 38.3% sent via text.   Connections to MyMedicare.gov: We also saw a significant incr

Approximately 3 million fully insured UnitedHealthcare members in most states who own an Apple Watch can enroll with Apple Fitness+ and receive a year-long subscription at no additional cost.
