Healthcare.gov: New Brief on Trends in the US Uninsured Population

Today, HHS released a new ASPE issue brief to review the CDC’s National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) findings in the context of health coverage trends from 2010 through 2020 and the policy changes occurring during this period.

The Brief also examines disparities in coverage rates by race/ethnicity, income, age, and state Medicaid expansion status, and provides an overview of current efforts to expand health coverage and help make access to coverage more equitable, including the Executive Order on coverage and CMS’ Special Enrollment Period for the ACA Marketplaces beginning February 15, 2021.
