Be sure clients get the premium tax credit they deserve!
Clients who had a Marketplace health plan in 2021 will receive their 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace Statement in the mail at the beginning of March.*
Clients need to use their 1095-A to file Form 8962 with their tax return. If they don't, they could lose their premium tax credit, resulting in higher premiums on their plan.
It's important for clients to use these two forms to file their taxes correctly and on time. These two forms determine the amount of their premium tax credit and records the credits they used to lower their health plan premiums. Both forms are required when clients are filing their taxes.
