QR Codes Are Being Used By Hackers To Scam Users

Image
QR Codes Have Been Used by Hackers QR codes with their square barcode regained their popularity when the pandemic began because consumers found them easy to use and businesses did not have to worry about contamination from contact. Along with the rise of QR codes has come with the rise of hackers using them to get past traditional security services. Some can also contain malicious links embedded with malware so cybercriminals can easily obtain your data such as credit card information or social security number. On Tuesday, the FBI issued the alert, warning that cybercriminals have been targeting both physical and digital QR codes. The tactic is basically a spin-off of phishing scams, in which hackers use fake emails and messages from legitimate companies to trick victims into giving up their password or downloading malware. Why Agents Should Sell Travel Plans

Image
Why do your clients need Travel Insurance?  Even though more people are traveling, the pandemic continues to go on and at any given moment, breaking news can change your travel plans unexpectedly. This is the best time to promote and push travel insurance for your clients. Travel insurance is coverage designed to protect against risks and financial losses that could happen while traveling. The risks range from minor inconveniences such as missed airline connections and delayed luggage all the way to more serious issues including injuries or major illness. Dependending on who you sell for, different providers offer different plans with a mix of these coverages and more, so be sure to educate yourself about all the options before choosing one. One way to tackle this is to determine your specific needs and find a plan that fits. As an agent, you can answer all questions and help clients enroll in a plan. According to the U.S. Travel Insurance Association, in 2018, roughly 65.8 million p

CVS Health completes rollout of time delay safes in all of its Arizona pharmacies As part of an ongoing commitment to support law enforcement and help build safer communities, CVS Health announced the completed installation of time delay safe technology in all 198 Arizona CVS Pharmacy locations, including those in Target stores. The safes are anticipated to help prevent pharmacy robberies and the potential for associated diversion of controlled substance medications – including opioid medications such as oxycodone and hydrocodone – by electronically delaying the time it takes for pharmacy employees to open the safe. In addition, the safes are anticipated to benefit the safety and well-being of CVS Pharmacy customers and employees. The company’s rollout of time delay safes is in support of the state’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force, which was established by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich with support from the state Legislature and the Arizona Retailers Association. “Our off
