Southwestern Health Resources announces their plan to remain with BCBSTX Networks.

BCBSTX Networks worked with Southwestern Health Resources (SWHR) to reach an agreement both parties are comfortable with. Moreover, Texas Health Resources (THR) and UT Southwestern (UTSW) services will remain with BCBSTX networks.


Those members who changed their PCPs during the negotiation period and would like to change back to their SWHR PCP can use Blue Access for MembersSM. BCBSTX shares the following steps to change back to SWHR PCP:

  • Register for or log in to Blue Access for Members 
  • Click the Doctors & Hospitals Tab
  • Select option Change Primary Care Physicians
  • Review the doctor listed as your PCP
  • Choose a different PCP if you wish to
  • You can search in-network doctors on Provider Finder® at bcbstx.com

Ambetter plans to expand access to their value network in Florida. Starting January 1, 2023, Ambetter Value plan members can access providers in the below list for all medical needs. Cano Health Medical Centers Centrum Medical Center Fox Medical Center IMC Health Medical Centers MedFlorida Medical Center UniVida Medical Center Community Medical Group is currently the main provider for the Ambetter Value Network. Cigna's 2023 ACA Commission Schedule

Cigna just announced their 2023 ACA commission schedule! Take a look for yourself below. Medical Insurance Commissions   Medical commissions apply to all metal levels and plans sold on or off Marketplace. Sales made during an Open Enrollment or a Special Enrollment Period are eligible. Medical commissions will be paid for up to four children on the plan. Advancing is not available. 2023 medical commissions for applications one to four will be paid $0 PMPM until the agent or agency reaches five medical applications. At that time, any new medical sales commissions due will be paid, starting from the first 2023 application. Please be advised eligible producers will be paid commission for existing medical policies scheduled to renew 1/1/2023 under this 2023 commission schedule.
