The 2025 UnitedHealthcare ACA New Member and Retention Bonus Programs

UnitedHealthcare, one of the nation’s leading ACA carriers, is announcing a 2025 ACA New Member and Retention Incentive available for its contracted agents. The new member incentive applies to all new sales, while the Retention Bonus Program applies to applicable renewals for Individual and Family Exchange plans effective in 2025.

The payment structure for this bonus program is shown below:

New Member Program

Eligible states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Contracted ACA agents enrolling a minimum of 25 new members in these states not on a UnitedHealthcare QHP in December 2024 will receive a one-time payment of $25 for each of these members.

When contracted ACA agents enroll 50 or more new members in these states not on a UnitedHealthcare QHP in December 2024, the one-time payment increases to $50 for each member at or above the 50 new members.

Member Retention Program

Eligible States: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Contracted ACA agents with a minimum of 50 members enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family plans on December 31, 2024 and remain enrolled on their plan through April 1, 2025 will receive a one-time payment of $25 per member.

Contracted ACA agents with 100 or more members enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family plans on December 31, 2024 and remain enrolled through April 1, 2025 will receive a one-time payment of $30 per member.
