We’ve learned that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is releasing data on the Plan Benefit Package (PBP) it expects to see. This data change will affect how payers enter information to create the 2026 Medicare Advantage plans and how those plans will be structured.
This might change the primary member communication 2026 model documents, CMS releases later this year. These documents can include examples of the Model Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), Model Evidence of Coverage (EOC), and Model Summary of Benefits (SB).
We won’t know for sure until CMS releases these model documents in a few weeks. We include an overview of the 2026 data changes for your reference.
