FFM Registration and Training for the Plan Year 2025 Marketplace Are Now Available
As we gear up for Plan Year 2025, Agility wants to ensure returning agents and brokers stay compliant and complete the necessary training to continue assisting consumers in the Health Insurance Marketplace®.
Agents must complete the 2025 Marketplace Registration and Training to sell ACA On-Exchange Health Plans. The training is now available on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Enterprise Portal. There are two separate training sessions for New Agents and Returning Agents.
In addition to training, there are a few changes for Plan Year 2025 to be aware of.
Fundamental Changes This Year:
- Enhanced Training Options: You can complete training in English or Spanish via CMS or vendors like HealthSherpa and INSXCloud.
- Profile Update Requirements: Ensure your NPN and contact information are accurate to prevent any issues with registration and compensation.
Documentation and Compliance:
New documentation requirements mean you must keep records of consumer consent and application reviews for at least ten years. This helps maintain transparency and compliance with CMS guidelines.
Advertising Guidelines:
Your marketing efforts should always be accurate and not misleading. Misrepresenting your role or the details of health plans can lead to compliance issues.
Preventing DMIs:
Accurate entry of all required consumer information, especially Social Security numbers, is vital to prevent data matching issues that could result in loss of coverage or financial assistance for your clients.
Steps to Complete Registration:
- Update Your Profile: Ensure all details are up-to-date in the MLMS.
- Complete Training: Choose the CMS or vendor training and pass the necessary exams.
- Accept Agreements: Sign the required Marketplace Agreements on the MLMS.
- Print Certificate: Confirm and print your completion certificate from the CMS Enterprise Portal.
