UCare recently announced that it will be exiting the Medicare Advantage (MA) market effective January 1, 2026. This decision affects approximately 186,700 members in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin who are currently enrolled in UCare MA plans.
What This Means for Agents
Agility strongly recommends UCare agents take the following actions.
- Contact your current UCare MA members immediately and reassure them that they have viable alternatives.
- Conduct a needs assessment with the client to identify their top priorities.
- Prepare a few options that best address the client’s needs and present them to the client as quickly as possible.
- Communicate early and often to ensure clients understand the timeline for decisions and are informed of their best options.
