The August 3 Peterson-KFF Health System Tracker update shows that ACA insurers nationwide are proposing a median rate increase of 15% for 2027 ACA plans. This analysis of 276 insurers nationwide looks at publicly filed marketplace rates in the states.
The final rates will come later in the summer, but the 2026 median rate proposal was a 18% increase, with a final median rate change of a 20% increase last year. So far this year, the rate increase is slightly lower than 2026, according to the tracker.
Most of the 276 insurers are proposing median premium increases for 2027 between 10% and 25%, but 51 of these 276 insurers are proposing median premium increases above 25%. Agility will update this page with the latest data on ACA monthly premiums as soon as we have it.
