Aetna is updating its list of 2026 non-commissionable MA plans. As of September 15, 2026, any MA plan applications for MA plans on this list with a signature date on or after September 15, 2026, will be non-commissionable.
Aetna is also announcing its 2027 non-commissionable MA plans. These Aetna MA plans with an effective date of January 1, 2027 or later will be non-commissionable.
Aetna confirms there’s no impact to renewal compensation for previously enrolled members who remain enrolled in these MA plans and reminds agents that plan recommendations and enrollments should continue to be based on beneficiary needs, not commission status. Agility reiterates the importance of placing any client into the best plan that meets their needs, even if that plan may not result in an agent commission
